Northeastern Hillel has teamed up with Israel Outdoors to experience the awesome adventure of Israel from the inside, through the eyes and hearts of Israeli peers. Travel for 10-days with Israeli friends and staff who share the beauty, excitement and complexities of their country with you. Meet with Israeli figures that are shaping Israel today.
Hike in spectacular nature areas of Israel. From a meeting with residents of the Golan, to Bedouin hospitality in the desert, to an archaeological dig, from the liveliness of Tel Aviv, to the diversity and spirituality of Jerusalem, experience the history, the vibrancy and the challenges of Modern Israel. Make lifelong Israeli and American friends and have lots of fun.

PERSPECTIVES TRIP
Get behind the headlines, gain new insights and perspectives from diverse Israeli, Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, and Jewish voices of the Middle East. Hillel is offering an extraordinary opportunity for a free 10 day trip to Israel for Northeastern students. We hope to bring our community to the region to meet the current moment and be on the ground with the people affected from this war.
Dates of trip: August 11 - August 22, 2024
NU Hillel is looking to bring together a dynamic and diverse group of NU student leaders for this unique experience. Together we will embark on a 10 day trip to Israel where we will explore the region and hear from a variety of speakers on various topics in Israeli and Palestinian society, including: history, culture, human rights, and the current political climate. This trip seeks to educate both Jewish and non-Jewish Northeastern University undergraduates about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and bring to light the complexities of this conflict through nuanced dialogue, conversation, and in person experiences. Gain new insights and perspectives from diverse Israeli, Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, and Jewish voices of the Middle East. We hope to bring our community to the region to meet the current moment and be on the ground with the people affected by this war.
This annual trip will no doubt look different this year, but we assure anyone applying that we keep student safety at the highest priority. Additionally we are committed to bringing students educational speakers that represent a diverse range of voices in Israeli and Palestinian society, this trip is for students interested in learning from the people living in Israel and the Palestinian territories and hearing their stories.
This trip is open to all NU undergraduates (excluding current seniors) and is a highly subsidized opportunity that includes airfare, accommodations and all activities and transportation. The only expenses we ask students to pay for is one meal a day, any miscellaneous expenses you might encounter (i.e. souvenirs), and ground transportation to and from our domestic departure airport (Boston Logan International).
Please note spots are limited - we will be unable to accept all applicants. After applying, students selected to move forward in our application process will be asked for an interview.
If accepted onto the trip, students will be required to submit a refundable $250 deposit, attend 2 pre trip orientations, and complete a pre and post trip survey.
The priority application deadline is April 15th.

FROM THE TRAVELERS
Every time I come back from a trip my grandma always asks me why I’m not in any photos, and every time I have to explain that it’s because I’m too busy taking photos to be in them.
This past trip to Israel was no different. My computer is full of photographs; every building, person, meal, view, etc serves as a memory that collectively represents my experience.
Now whenever I feel like it I can just open my laptop and see the golden Dome of the Rock, hear the children playing at Save a Child’s Heart, taste the strawberries I bought at the Mahane Yehuda market, and feel the sand under my feet at the Dead Sea.
